Nine Elms Bridge update

When more than 10,000 Pimlico residents were surveyed about the proposed Nine Elms Bridge, 97% of respondents said ‘No’ as it would bring 18,000 commuters through our quiet Pimlico streets everyday. 

Warwick Councillor gets graffiti removed

Cllr Nickie Aiken noticed graffiti painted next door to the Sainsbury Delivery Garage in Gillingham Street. She contacted the Neighbourhood City Inspector who arranged with the store manager at Sainsbury’s to have the graffiti removed.

Council implements leafing clearing plan

You may have noticed that our trees have started to shed their leaves. From 5th November, Westminster City County began implementing its ‘Leafing Plan’.

Walkabout in Westminster with Met Commissioner Cressida Dick

Our residents are very concerned about the lack of police presence across Pimlico, resulting in an increase in begging and rough sleeping. Westminster’s latest analysis shows that crime is up 9% in Westminster, while neighbourhood police numbers have fallen by 52%.

Armistice Remembrance

The weekend of 9th – 11th November saw Westminster Council commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War. As a Council, we work very closely with the Armed Forces supporting a number of initiatives.

Silver Sunday in Pimlico

Silver Sunday 2018 officially began in Pimlico on 5th October. Cllrs Christabel Flight and Jacqui Wilkinson joined Westminster's Lord Mayor, Cllr Lindsey Hall, the choir of St Barnabas Primary School and dancers from the Chelsea Ballet in entertaining local elderly residents in Dryburgh Hall, Ald
