Last year, Nickie Aiken, MP for the Cities of London and Westminster, launched the City of London Policing and Crime Survey to hear directly from local people about their experience of crime and what their priorities are for the City of London Police.
After carefully considering all the responses, Nickie and Freddie Downing, the Conservative candidate for the London Assembly constituency of City and East London, have today set out their Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour Plan to make the City of London a safer and more pleasant place to live, work and visit.
Nickie and Freddie’s City of London Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour Plan:
-
Increase police visibility in the City.
-
More street lighting and lighting on housing estates.
-
Zero-tolerance to drug-taking in public spaces.
-
Crackdown on anti-social behaviour, including late-night music videos.
-
Stop irresponsible and dangerous cycling, including dockless bikes abandoned on pavements.
To deliver this plan, Nickie and Freddie will work with local people, the City of London Corporation, the City of London Police and other organisations to crack down on the issues so many local people are concerned by.
Nickie and Freddie have listened to local people. Now they are acting.
