Angela Harvey

Angela moved to Pimlico nearly 30 years ago and was first elected to the Council in 2002.  She works hard to protect the village feel of Pimlico, and is known as a caring, capable and accessible local councillor, helping residents to make their lives better.  On the council, she is currently Chair of Licensing, Chair of the Pensions Board, and sits on Planning and Staff Appeals.  

 

Angela was the 2012-2013 Lord Mayor of Westminster.  When Cabinet Member for Housing she led Westminster to become the top housing authority in the country, and has brought affordable housing opportunities into Tachbrook and Pimlico. Angela is the Senior Independent Director for a central London NHS mental health trust.  

 

A qualified executive coach, her professional background is in corporate and third sector HR.  Angela lives with her husband and fellow councillor David in south Westminster.

Update on Tachbrook Street Market

Lillington and Longmore update

Conservative-run Westminster has taken the decision to bring CityWest Homes (our housing provider) back in-house. We all know the service provided by CWH over the past couple of years had fallen short of the high standard we expect.

Rough sleepers and beggars in Tachbrook

Many residents have been in touch with us concerned about the number of rough sleepers and beggars in the neighbourhood and Pimlico tube subway in particular.

Nine Elms Bridge update

When more than 10,000 Pimlico residents were surveyed about the proposed Nine Elms Bridge, 97% of respondents said ‘No’ as it would bring 18,000 commuters through our quiet Pimlico streets everyday. 

Council implements leafing clearing plan

You may have noticed that our trees have started to shed their leaves. From 5th November, Westminster City County began implementing its ‘Leafing Plan’.

Armistice Remembrance

The weekend of 9th – 11th November saw Westminster Council commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War. As a Council, we work very closely with the Armed Forces supporting a number of initiatives.
