From the Evening Standard:
Westminster council has stolen Wandsworth’s crown for delivering the lowest council tax in the country. The Conservative Councillors are freezing council tax while Wandsworth is increasing its share for just the second time in a decade.
Most residents in Westminster will pay £680.74 for a band D property next year while in Wandsworth they’ll pay £685.71.
Westminster Conservative leader Philippa Roe said: “We are very pleased to be delivering extra investment for street cleaning, CCTV and protecting front line services at the same time as we set the lowest council tax in the UK.”
