Nickie reacts to Government’s plan for a New Green Industrial Revolution

Wednesday, 18 November, 2020

Earlier today, the Prime Minister announced his blueprint for a New Green Industrial Revolution which will create and support hundreds of thousands of jobs across the UK.

The blueprint spells out £12 billion worth of government investment covering clean energy, transport, nature and innovative technologies, alongside potentially more than three times as much coming from the private sector.

This investment will allow the UK to forge ahead with eradicating its contribution to climate change by 2050.

Commenting on the blueprint, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster said,

“The 10-point plan covers a range of sectors including clean energy, transport, nature as well as finance. It is particularly important with the country planning on hosting the COP 26 climate summit next year in Glasgow. I'm absolutely delighted that it's this Conservative Government that is leading the way across the globe on tackling climate change.”
