Julia has lived in Bryanston and Dorset Square Ward for 9 very happy years. She is a keen Conservative community activist, most recently taking the lead in obtaining the changes wanted by Residents to proposals for the redevelopment of Marylebone Old Town Hall. She continues to pursue the Residents’ interests in ongoing meetings with the developers (Wates) and The London Business School.
Julia has had an international career, first in educational publishing, then as a self-employed writer and specialist lecturer on English Language Teaching. Briefly resident in our Ward from 1980 to 1982, she chose to move back here after her husband’s death, because she wanted to settle in a proper residential neighbourhood, with everything that entails. As far as Julia’s concerned, that means speaking up for the locality, in all its diversity.
