Four years of Labour in Westminster: Four years of crime and grime

This election is a referendum on crime in Westminster

On 7 May, you have a choice: four more years of crime and grime under Labour, or a Conservative plan to deliver safe streets and real enforcement in Westminster.

Labour is putting your safety at risk

The reality of life under Labour in Westminster is that crime has gone up since 2022.

Phone snatching, public disorder, robbery, shoplifting and criminal damage have all gone up across Westminster. Anti-social behaviour and drug dealing are going unchecked.

But as crime rises across our city, Sadiq Khan is cutting police across the capital:

  • 1,700 officers and staff: gone.
  • Royal Parks Police: disbanded.
  • Schools Police: removed.

Sadiq Khan is putting the safety of your children, our parks and your neighbourhood at risk.

But Westminster Labour is too afraid and distracted to stand up to Sadiq Khan: wasting £27 million on a failed housing contractor and handing their own senior councillors pay rises of up to 62 per cent.

Labour's Westminster: higher crime, weaker enforcement, no consequences. It does not have to stay this way.

A Conservative plan for Safe Streets

We have a plan to bring safety back to our streets with firm enforcement and championing for better policing across Westminster.

From day one, we will appoint a dedicated Cabinet Member for Enforcement with clear accountability for delivery across City Inspectors, licensing and partnership working with the police.

We will:

  • Launch targeted action in crime hotspots
  • Enforce properly against dockless bike operators, with fines issued and bikes impounded
  • Shut down illegal short term lets
  • Use every power the council has to tackle antisocial behaviour where it is worst
  • Strengthen the Night Stars programme to protect people during busy West End nights

People in Westminster deserve to feel safe. Under the Conservatives, safety and enforcement will be taken seriously.

Only the Conservatives can beat Labour in Westminster. A vote for any other party lets Labour back in for four more years of crime and grime.

Vote Conservative on 7 May.
