As we enter the New Year, there are a few areas that we would like to concentrate on. Although rubbish collection and the state of the streets and the pavements are generally very good, there are a few spots in the ward where waste dumping remains an issue.
In the coming weeks, Westminster City Council and Transport for London (TfL), will be announcing the dates for the switch to two-way operation. This will be disseminated via the project website (www.bakerstreettwoway.co.uk), the weekly email update
We are getting an increasing number of complaints about short lettings in Pimlico – commonly referred to as ‘Air BnB’. Landlords are not allowed to let properties for over 90 nights without planning permission and this government legal limit applies across all websites.
Cllr Aiken, Flight and Wilkinson were thrilled to host and secure funding for the Christmas Lunch for residents at Glastonbury House. Around 50 residents came to the lunch with food being delivered to those who were unable to attend.
Another successful Christmas lights switch on for Warwick Ward in Tachbrook Market. The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Lindsey Hall, joined Councillors Christabel Flight, Nickie Aiken and Jacqui Wilkinson.
