Cllr David Harvey is Westminster's Cabinet Member for Housing.

We caught up with him at the Ebury Bridge Estate - where he explains the green and sustainable nature of the 781 new homes being built. David explains

So this is the Ebury Bridge Estate where we're building 781 new homes, over half of which are going to be social homes and affordable homes.

What is one of the most important things is they're going to be green and sustainable.

And that means that energy bills will be lower for everyone who lives here and the air quality will be better.

They're going to be lovely green places to live, where people will want to live.

And it's a massively important theme for us over the next ten years or so.

We're going to take a housing stock.

And we're going to make it insulated, make it environmentally friendly, we'll be putting heat pumps in to cut energy bills, but also to make places really healthy places to live, as you've told us that's what you want.
