Tuesday 27th June 2017: Knightsbridge & Belgravia Summer Champagne Reception with Charlie Elphicke MP
Knightsbridge & Belgravia Conservatives are delighted to invite you to their Summer Champagne Reception on Tuesday, 27th June 2017 at which we are very pleased to say our Guest of Honour will be Charlie Elphicke, who has been MP for Dover and Deal since 2010. He is also a former Chairman of Knightsbridge and Belgravia Conservatives and Deputy Chairman of CLWCA so we very much look forward to welcoming one of our alumni back to Belgravia!
The dominant issue in British politics at present is our impending exit from the European Union and the negotiations leading up to that. Border control post-Brexit is likely to be a key ingredient in these negotiations and enforcement of border controls by the UK post-Brexit will be a critical concern for the UK Government. We are therefore delighted that Charlie Elphicke who, as the MP for Dover and Deal, has been exposed to the full impact of these issues at Dover, will be speaking to us on the topic of :
“Border controls post Brexit: a view from the Dover front line”.
The event will be held from 7.00 pm at the Society of Chemical Industry, 14/15 Belgrave Square, London, SW1X 8PS, a very fine, recently renovated, listed building in the heart of Belgravia. We will have the use of an extremely pleasant terrace and garden area which weather permitting, will enable our guests to enjoy the ambience of a traditional English summer garden party.
We look forward to welcoming you to what is always one of our most enjoyable annual events.
